I'm ashamed to admit that I never played ICO or Shadow of the Colossus when they originally came out for the PS2. When Sony announced that they'd be releasing an HD-remastered collection for the PS3 featuring these two legendary titles, I was excited for the opportunity to finally dive into these games. This is definitely the right time to get familiar with Team Ico's earlier work before their third project, The Last Guardian, comes out next year. After watching this launch trailer, I'm even more excited to make the time to play these masterpieces, and will happily pay the $39.99 for the title.
Words cannot express how excited I am for this game. I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton games on my DS, and the combination of these two legendary characters and gameplay styles into a single title is reason enough to purchase a Nintendo 3DS. The game will be landing in Japan in 2012, but unfortunately no US release has been announced.
Get ready to get excited for a game you'll never get to play. I actually got goosebumps while watching this. Unfortunately, the game is still only destined for the Korean market, but here's to hoping it makes it stateside.
After watching this blissful nostalgia-inducing trailer dubbed "Eruption", I quickly went to Amazon to pre-order the game. I know what I'll be doing when I can steal some time away from my family over the Thanksgiving holiday.
I'm a big fan of Makoto Shinkai's previous films, which are always full of overwhelming visual eye-candy and tend to pull at the heartstrings. I'm excited to learn more his latest project. Check out this debut trailer.
Check out this amazing fan project which aims to create a first person shooter inspired by the classic pantheon of character's from Mega Man's 8-bit era. The game is built on top of the Doom 2 engine, and will offer a frenetic shooter with all of the characters and the arsenal of weaponry that Mega Man fans have come to appreciate over the years. Check out the trailer below for a sample of what we'll get to enjoy when the game launches, and you can find more information at the project's homepage.
I've always been a fan of the Sonic series. I had a Genesis for much of my formative gaming years, and have fond memories of afternoons spent with the blue hedgehog. While the game series has faltered over the years in quality, it seems Sega is working to put Sonic on the right path. I got a chance to play "Colors" at E3 and was impressed, and I'm looking forward to picking up this Wii title when it is ships in November. The only thing I can't get used to is calling Dr. Robotnik by his new name, "Eggman"...
While this online side-scroller most likely will never see the light of day in the US, here is the animated trailer for the Korean-market-bound Rockman Online. Luckily, we will be getting Mega Man Universe here, and rumor has it that we'll be seeing more of that game at PAX.
I've already expressed my elation that one of my all-time favorite computer games is getting a sequel, so I leave you with this glorious trailer to get you excited. This game can't come soon enough.
