I never played the original Guardian Heroes for the Sega Saturn, but the trailer definitely caught my attention. It is developed by the excellent studio: Treasure. They also made Gunstar Super Heroes, which was one of my favorite games for the Game Boy Advance. This seems to blend classic side-scrolling brawler gameplay with RPG elements that channels the classic fun of games like Capcom's Knights of the Round.
This HD remake wil cost $10 when it comes out for XBLA on October 12th.
I've always been a fan of the Sonic series. I had a Genesis for much of my formative gaming years, and have fond memories of afternoons spent with the blue hedgehog. While the game series has faltered over the years in quality, it seems Sega is working to put Sonic on the right path. I got a chance to play "Colors" at E3 and was impressed, and I'm looking forward to picking up this Wii title when it is ships in November. The only thing I can't get used to is calling Dr. Robotnik by his new name, "Eggman"...
