When I heard that Grasshopper Manufacture, the studio led by the brilliant Suda51 and makers of No More Heroes and Lollipop Chainsaw, was making a game for the PSP based on Neon Genesis Evangelion, my heart skipped a beat. I thought that finally my favorite anime series would be getting a worthy companion game.
After digging into it, I learned that Rebuild of Evangelion Sound Impact will be a rhythm game, which certainly was not what I was expecting. However, I have nothing but faith in the developer, and am rooting for an eventual US release. For those lucky enough to live in Japan, the game will be coming out on September 29th.
