Winter Trip to Vermont

The Engel family now calls Manchester, Vermont home, and last week we all gathered at the new digs for the first time as a unit. We all had a blast being tucked away in the woods with fine food, good company, and fun times. Here’s a selection of some of my holiday photos.

Open Platforms in Paris

Last week I found myself trekking off to Paris to attend “Le Web” to talk about my work: MySpaceID and our open platform initiatives. We had a great panel with Dave Morin from Facebook, David Recordon from Six Apart, David Glazer from Google, and Jeff Hansen from Microsoft. The panel was called “Platform Love” and was moderated by Marc Canter. I’d definitely recommend giving it watch.

The conference gave me a chance to meet up with old friends and connect with many great new people. It was cold, the internet was non-existant, and for some reason they kept shooing me off from the food, but “Le Web” was definitely a blast. I mean, any conference with a sauna truck is okay in my book.

I didn’t get much time to sightsee, but did capture some shots around the city. This was all before I got food poisoning the night before I left. I should have known to avoid cheap sushi…
